Shirley Ann Rude, age 67 of Fairfield, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2014 at Jefferson County Health center in Fairfield, Iowa.

Per her wishes her body will be cremated.

There will be no services at this time.

Shirley Ann Rude was born on December 30, 1946 in Fairfield, Iowa to Marvin and Lucille Juna Mae (Ruggles) Chapman. She married Donald Herman Rude on June 11, 1967.

Shirley was a lifelong resident of the Fairfield area. She graduated from Fairfield high School. Shirley and Don owned and operated the Corner Café in Keosauqua, Iowa for 5 years; she was also a housewife for many years. She enjoyed doing crafts, gardening, animals and spending time with family and friends.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Donald Rude of Fairfield, IA; 2 sons, David (Sue) Rude of Keosauqua, IA, and Christopher (Nikki) Rude of Fairfield, IA; 3 grandchildren, Rebbecca Klett, Brandi Rude and Jessica Cay; 3 great- grandchildren, AJ Klett, Austin Klett, Kinley Adam; and one brother, Wayne Chapman of Ottumwa, IA.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Lucille Chapman and her sister in law, Agnes Chapman.
