Stanley Gene Heckethorn

            Stanley Gene “Bub” Heckethorn, 69, a resident of Brighton, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Prestige Care Center in Fairfield.

            Stanley was born November 3, 1953 in Fairfield, the son of Mervin and Irene (Schultz) Heckethorn. He married Sally Griffin, February 21, 1976. She preceded him in death.

            Stanley worked for Heckethorn Roofing. He enjoyed arrowhead and mushroom hunting.

            Those left to honor his memory include his grandchildren, Gavin and Aspen Heckethorn of Fairfield; sisters, Jean Spalla and Kathy Winland of Fairfield; brothers, Elmer Heckethorn of Fairfield, and Richard Heckethorn of Brighton.

            In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; son, Troy; and brother, Harry.

            There will be no services held at this time. Inurnment will be at Wright Cemetery at a later date. Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is assisting the family with arrangements.
