FAMILY VISITATION WAS HELD 10:00 TO 11:00 AM, SATURDAY, MARCH 19, 2005 AT BEHNER FUNERAL HOME IN FAIRFIELD, IOWA. FUNERAL SERVICES FOLLOWED AT 11:00 AT THE FUNERAL HOME. REV. DAVE PETERSON OFFICIATED. THE BODY WAS CREMATED.

A gathering of friends and family followed the service at the Walton Club.

Stan Mcclellan, 53, of 306 Iowa Ave. in Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at Jefferson County Hospital after a long battle with amyloidosis.

Stanley Gale McClellan was born on October 16, 1951, the son of Loren Gale and Refa Marie (Stanley) McClellan. He lived all his life in Fairfield and graduated from FHS with the Class of 1971 and from the Delta Airline School in Chicago, IL. Stan was a self-employed carpet-layer, worked in construction, and helped his friends on their farms. He worked for Agri-Plastics before his illness. Stan married Rosie Tucker on July 15, 2000 in Fairfield, IA.

Stan was a member of B.P.O.E. #1192, V.F.W. Post #2271, Fairfield Eagles Lodge # 1927, Walton Club and the First United Methodist Church of Fairfield, IA. He enjoyed each day of life to the fullest and found pleasures in the simplest of things. His many hobbies included hunting, fishing, golf, NASCAR and spending time with his family and friends.

A wonderful man and a friend to many, Stan will forever be remembered for his kindness, unconditional love and eagerness to help others. Stan had such a great smile and one of the biggest hearts God ever created.

Survivors include his wife, Rosie, of Fairfield, IA, Stan's children; daughters: Heather and Michael Bice of Yokosuka, Japan, Heidi and Dan Sirdoreus of Des Moines, Iowa, Hollie Mcclellan and fiance' Nick Pfeiffer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and son, Seth Mcclellan of Urbandale, Iowa. Stan was a grandfather to Grant Bice and was expecting another grandson on April 9th.

Also surviving are three step-children: Rick Tucker of Des Moines, IA, Christy Combs of Phoenix, AZ and Heather Tucker and fiance' Eric Beard of Fairfield, IA and three step-grandchildren; Spencer Drish of Phoenix, AZ, Hannah Combs, also of Phoenix, and Tyler Tucker of Des Moines, IA.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents, Loren and Refa McClellan.
