Stephen M. Barton

Stephen M. Barton, age 66, of Fairfield, passed away September 6, 2006.

Graveside services were held 10:30 AM, Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield. Rev. Mike Metz officiated. The body has been cremated.

Memorials may be made to Children's Library of the Fairfield Public Library.

Stephen M. Barton was born in Des Moines, IA on September 20, 1939, the son of Maynard O. And Myrtle B. (Stansberry) Barton. Stephen graduated from FHS with the Class of 1958 and he was a machinist with the Nelson Company.

Steve was an avid NASCAR fan and had a passion for cars and motorcycles. He loved spending time with family, friends and coworkers.

Stephen is survived by his sister, Maybelle Jenn of Waterloo, IA and daughter Tiffany Cass of Fairfield.
