Suzanne Eklund

Suzanne Eklund, age 64 of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Jefferson County Health Center.

Her body was willed to the University of Iowa Donor Program.

There will be a Memorial Service held at the Fairfield Friends Church at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2012 with Pastor Larry Eklund officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family and sent to Richard Eklund at 1300 W. Jackson St. #17, Fairfield, Iowa 52556.

Suzanne was born on February 10, 1948 in Leon, Iowa to Rex and Alice Metz Williams. She married Richard Eklund on June 17, 1995 in Jefferson County.

For 22 years, she was a Deputy Director for the South Iowa Area Crime Commission.

Suzanne is survived by her husband: Richard, 2 children: Paul (Jayne) Short of Land O Lakes, Florida and Eric Koffman of Fairfield, 2 step-children: Kelly (Troy) Brobst of Perry and Jim (Kathy) Eklund of Fairfield, 7 grandchildren: Brandon, Alex, Cassie, Brandi, Nicki, Samantha and Tasha, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 siblings: Doug (Linda) Williams of Cartersville, Illinois and Rosemary Jefferies of Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
