Terry Dean Thomas

Terry Dean Thomas age 53, of Sacramento, California died Wednesday March 17, 2010 at University of California Davis Medical Center.

Graveside Memorial Services are set for 11:30 a.m. Saturday April 24, 2010 at Friends Cemetery in Richland, Iowa. with Pastor Jim McGaffey officiating.

Memorials can be made to donors choice, and sent to 200 Wilson Blvd. Fairfield, Iowa 52556.

Terry was born November 20, 1956 in Fairfield, IA. to Richard and Carolyn Downing Thomas.

Terry was raised and graduated from Fairfield High School class of 1975. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army where he was a (Sgt) and served two years in Germany.

When his military duties ended he moved to Florida and worked construction, then he started his own business specializing in custom cabinets and furniture. Due to health reasons he retired and moved to California. Terry loved all sports and went to his nephews ball games every chance he could. His favorite teams include Chicago Cubs, Miami Dolphins, Boston Celtics.

Terry enjoyed warm weather for cook outs and time to visit with family and friends over the holidays. Every summer Terry and his son went fishing in the ponds on the family farm.

Survivors include his mother Carolyn Talley of Fairfield, IA., one daughter Mandy (Tony) Ricco of Monmouth, IL., and one son Kristopher Thomas of Tacoma, Wa. 2 grandchildren Mackenzie and Draque Ricco, one brother Jeffrey (Teresa) Thomas of Lockridge, IA. 2 Sisters Rhonda (Tom) Neeley Cloverdale, CA. and Jacqueline (Gary) Poarch of Petaluma, CA., 3 nephews and 1 Niece and two step sisters Sheryl Muhs and Lorri Wolf

Terry was preceded by his Father and Step Father Max Talley, grandparents James and Madeline Lane and Lester and Irene Downing.
