Troy Allen Sievers, age 49 of Fairfield, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at the VA Hospital in Iowa City.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Cary and Pastor Dick Larson officiating. The body has been cremated.

Family visitation and a meal, will be held at the Elks Lodge following the Memorial Service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Troy Allen Sievers Family. Cards and memorials can be sent to 603 S. 33rd Street, Fairfield, Iowa 52556.

Troy was born on January 1, 1963 in Key West, Florida to Larry and Norma Green Sievers.

He was a graduate of Fairfield High School, with the class of 1982 and attended Indian Hills Community College for 2 years. He spent 4 years in the U.S. Navy and had been a machine operator at Agri Industrial Plastics. He was also affiliated with Elks Lodge #1192 and VFW Post #2271.

Troy is survived by his companion: Lisa Hemm of Fairfield, his mother and father: Norma and Gary Harvey of Fairfield, his grandmother: Edith Morrow, sister: Kristine (Chris) Clark of Mason City, brother: Dave (Kerri) Harvey of Urbandale, children: Lindsey (Sievers) Upton of Norfolk, Virginia, Tierney Sievers of Granby, Colorado, Colton Sievers of Ames, Amber (John) Wild of River Falls, Wisconsin and Amanda Hemm of Cedar Rapids, grandchildren: Corbin and Carson and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father: Larry Sievers, grandparents: Irvin Sievers, Orville Green, Mary Smith, Henry and Nellie Harvey and nephew: Phillip Clark.
