Vernon Andrew Manley, age 68 of Birmingham passed away November 29, 2015 at his home.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Friday, December 4, 2015 at Behner Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, Ia.

Vernon was born November 7, 1947 to Andrew Jackson and Bessie Rosalie (Fleagle) Manley II in Fairfield, IA. He married Evelyn “Maxine” Hoage November 18, 1967 at Free Methodist Church in Fairfield, IA.
Vernon worked for 46 years in the foundry at Fairfield Castings formerly Dexter Foundry as a molder. He was a member of the fraternal order of Eagles #1927 since 1970. Vernon liked to play cards, hunt, fish, take care of cows but most of all, he liked spending time with family and friends.
Vernon is survived by his wife, Maxine Manley; two sons, AJ (Melissa) Manley and Jess (Wendi) Manley; 4 grandchildren, Cassie Manley, Jacob Manley, Peyton Manley, and Emersyn Manley; and one sister, Andrea Williams of Fairfield, IA.
Vernon was preceded in death by grandparents; his parents, Andrew and Bessie Manley; one sister, Dorothy Gardner; one brother, Roger Manley; and one infant nephew.
