Memorial services were held 10:30 AM, Monday, February 20, 2006 at Behner Funeral Home. Rev. Phil Campbell officiated. Following his wishes, the body was cremated and inurnment followed the service at Miller Chapel in Van Buren County.

The family wishes memorials, in lieu of flowers, to be made to the Community Child Care Center of Fairfield.

Vernon L. Tedrow was born November 2, 1923 in libertyville, Iowa. He was the son of David Albert and Goldie Marie (Anderson) Tedrow. Vernon married Hazel Maxine Clark in Burlington, Iowa on November 14, 1960. They are the parents of one daughter, Renee.

Vernon and Maxine farmed in the libertyville area until his retirement. Following his retirement from farming, Vernon was employed at Whitney Monument and also as a janitor/custodian for the Community Child Care Center in Fairfield.

Vernon is survived by his wife, Maxine and daughter Renee Letts and her husband Leroy of Fairfield. Vernon was grandfather to Travis and Rochelle. Survivors include one sister, Dorothy Campbell of West Burlington, Iowa and many nieces and nephews.

Vernon was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mildred Cary.
