Violet Mallinger

Violet (Vicky) Mallinger, age 61, of Fairfield, IA, passed away November 3, 2006 at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

Funeral services were held 1:00 PM, Monday, November 6, 2006 at Behner Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Cary officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield, IA.

Violet "Vicky" Mallinger was born November 18, 1944 in Fairfield, IA. She was the daughter of Eugene and Helen (Fields) Hoage.

Vicky lived all her life in the Fairfield area. She married Victor J. Mallinger, Sr. in Fairfield on July 28, 1962. They were the parents of two children: Victor Jr."Bub", and Theresa. Victor, Sr. passed away January 2, 1998.

Vicky was employed at Universal Producing and J&B Plastics. Her hobbies and interests included her roses, TV, the Chicago Cubs and her family.

Vicky is survived by her daughter, Theresa Newbold and her husband, Doug. She has five grandchildren: Amanda Person, Angela Schafer, Eric Newbold, Royce Mallinger and Dustin Mallinger, and one great-granddaughter: Kaylee Schafer.

Survivors include four sisters: Vi Fugarino of Keosauqua, IA, Maxine Manley of Birmingham, IA, and Fon Cline and Louise Cline, both of Fairfield, IA, and several nieces and nephews.

Vicky was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son, Victor Jay Mallinger, Jr.
