Virginia Rae Streed

Virginia Rae Streed, age 74, of Keosauqua, IA, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2007 at Van Buren County Hospital & Clinics.

Funeral services were held 10:30 AM, Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield with Rev. Michael Renken officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.

The family requests memorials be made to TENCO and ARC of Jefferson County.

Virginia Rae Streed was born in Jefferson County on February 28, 1933. She was the daughter of Earl Charles and Thelma Allene (Bridgeman) Streed. Virginia lived most of her life in Jefferson County, where she was employed at TENCO Industries. She enjoyed collecting stuffed animals and snow globes, and her hobbies included listening to music.

Virginia is survived by 3 brothers and 3 sisters, and their families: Paul Streed and wife Beverly of Longview, TX, Bill Streed and wife Donna of Clinton, IA, Joanne Roberts of Camarillo, CA, Beverly Blakley and Ron Watson of Douds, IA, Karen Rogers and Lamar Keck of Branson, MO, and Larry Streed and wife Karen of Mt. Sterling, IA, and several nieces and nephews.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and her niece, Darcy Blakley.
