Walter Page Martin

Walter Page Martin, 99, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2022, at his home in Fairfield, Iowa.

Walter was born July 7, 1923, in Logan County, KY. He later lived in Bowling Green, KY; Mississippi; and Florida before moving to Iowa. Walter was a WWII veteran. Throughout his life, he worked many years in refrigeration supply and maintenance.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann Martin Causey of Bowling Green, KY; one son, Walter Ray Martin of IA; grandsons Gary Simmons and Michael Causey of Bowling Green, Shelby Sprouse of Florida, and Steve Sprouse of Scottsville, KY; step-grandchildren Cathy Pioli, Dennis Causey, and David Causey, all of Bowling Green, KY; and several great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Martin, his daughter Betty Martin Sprouse, his son William "Bill" Martin, and siblings Luther and Thelma.

Walter is also survived by his very special caregiver, Sherri Ellis, and her daughter, of Fairfield, IA.

Walter loved and cared for his family, friends, and community. Many people benefitted from his big-hearted spirit over the years, and he will truly be missed.
