Wanda June Richmond

Wanda June Richmond age 82, of Fairfield passed away September 4, 2012 at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

No visitation planned. According to her wishes the body has been cremated.

A celebration of life service will be annouced.

Wanda June Richmond was born March 21, 1930 to Claude Oren and Minnie Mae Stearns Sidwell in Nebo, Illinios. She married Edward Dean Richmond on March 26, 1952 in Hannibal, Missouri.

Wanda lived most of her life in the Fairfield area, She graduated from Nebo, Il. high school, and from cosmotology school in Louisiana, Mo.. Wanda was a homemaker, her joy was her family and many friends. She also took great pleasure in reading, walking and yearly family vacations. She also greatly enjoyed her Friday Lunch Bunch outings. For many years she was a volunteer at the Bargin Box in Fairfield, Ia. and Meals on Wheels in Russellville, Arkansas. Wanda was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church in Fairfield.

Wanda is survived by Jane Richmond , Sue (Ed) Howard, Jim Richmond all of Fairfield, Ia., 4 Grandchildren Eric (Anne) Howard of Bettendorf,Ia., Kelly (Robert) Cubbage of Cedar Rapids, Ia., Katie (Stan) Stout of Des Moines, Ia., Mark Howard of Center Point, Ia. 7 Great grandchildren, one sister Erma Ferrell of Palmyra, Mo.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 sister Fern Hall, and 1 brother John Oren Sidwell.
