Warren Keith Repp, 84, a resident of Fairfield and formerly Ft. Madison, died Friday, September 15, 2023, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield, Iowa.
Warren was born April 6, 1939, in Marengo, Iowa, the son of Maurice and Hazel (Messer) Repp. He married Myrna Wolter on September 27, 1959, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Homestead, Iowa.
Warren worked for Alliant Energy, the former Iowa Electric, beginning in 1970 and retiring in 1996. Prior to that, he worked for John Deere from 1960 to 1970. While living in Marengo, he also served on the volunteer fire department. He was a long-time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairfield and Our Savior Lutheran Church in Fort Madison.
Warren was an avid sports fan and never missed an opportunity to watch his children’s events throughout the years. He loved the Hawkeyes and he and Myrna spent many years traveling the country watching their daughter play softball for the University of Iowa.
Warren enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his children and grandchildren, as well as the many children who attended Myrna’s in-home daycare for over thirty years. He also enjoyed golf with his buddies and morning coffee with friends.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Myrna; children, Brad Repp of Fairfield, Diana Repp of Ankeny, and Nathan (Abby) Repp of Kalona; grandchildren, Marisa and Lindsey Repp, and Waverly, Sienna, and Riggins Repp.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Duane.
