FAMILY VISITATION AND LUNCHEON FOLLOWED THE FUNERAL SERVICES.

Warren Edward Stagers was born December 1, 1921 in Douds, Iowa. He was the son of Roscoe C. and Elsie (Duke) Stagers. He lived most of his life in the Fairfield/Douds area. Warren graduated from Douds High School and he was a WWII Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army as a medic. He received several medals, including the Purple Heart and the Silver Star for Gallantry.
Warren married Irene Boyer on August 2, 1946 in Memphis, Missouri. They were the parents of four daughters and one son, Linda, Shirley, Jim, Bev and Lori. He farmed and retired from ACCO Babcock after 28 years.. Warren was a member of the First United Methodist Church, V.F.W. Post #2271 and the Disable American Veterans.
Warren is survived by his wife, Irene, and his children and their families, son Jim Stagers and wife Becky of Bettendorf, IA, Linda Simpson and husband Jim of Fairfield, Shirley Stagers and Ron Shy of Cape Fair, MO, Bev Nelson and husband Rod of Libertyville and Lori Boger and husband Wayne of Denver, CO.
Warren was grandfather to Alissa Simpson, Amanda Stagers, Trenton Nelson and step-grandfather to Scott Simpson and Samantha Septer. Warren had one great-granddaughter and 5 step-great-grandchildren.
His parents, and a granddaughter, Lindsay Stagers, preceded Warren in death.
Burial of cremains will be at a later date in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Douds.
