William David Banks Claxton

William David Banks Claxton age 77, went to be with the Lord February 29, 2020.

There will not be any services at this time.

William was born January 11, 1943 in Missouri to Bill and Cleo (William Claxton).

William served in the Navy.  He had a passion for guitars, computers and high-tech gadgetry.  William also enjoyed photography, and his squirrels.  He loved fishing and having his drink.

In later ears he didn’t get out much but he was always young at heart.  He is probably up in heaven playing a sweet song for all of us left behind in our sorrow.  We love you Dad and will never forget you.

William is survived by his 3 sons, Steven Jeffery Claxton of Atchison, Adrian Banks Claxton of Kansas City, and Christopher Apollo Claxton of Kansas City; one daughter, Cynthia (Paul) Stowers of Richland, IA; 8 grandsons, Quentin, Deryk, Casey Joe, Apollo, Samuel, Billy the III and Steven Eastwood; one great grandson, Andrew; siblings, Jennifer Loeb-Olson of Dennison, IA, John Claxton  of Bonner Springs and  Mark Claxton of Morristown, North Carolina ; and several nieces & nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parent, William Banks and Cleo Sparks; son, William David Claxton II; and one brother, Chuck.
