William "Bill" Nelson Steele

William "Bill" N. Steele age 90 of Lockridge, passed away June 7, 2013 at Park Place in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday June 13, 2013 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastors Diane Brokken and Myron Hoffert officiating. Burial will be in the Packwood Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday June 12, 2013 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, Iowa.

William " Bill" Nelson Steele was born October 31, 1922 in rural Packwood to Frank and Erma Nelson Steele. He married Agnes Woodburn on March 8, 1941 in Memphis Missouri. Agnes died April 3, 2004.

Bill lived in the Packwood area for 30 years and has lived in the Lockridge area for the last 60 years. He was a lifetime farmer and enjoyed raising his Charolais cattle.
Bill is survived by 1 daughter and 2 sons and families: Judy(Steele) Mote of Mt. Pleasant, Ia. Jerry (Mary) Steele of Lockridge, Ia., and Terry (Kay) Steele of Fairfield, Ia. 12 grandchildren Jason, Greg, Steven, Kendall, Kenny, Kris, Nykole, Sadee, Karla, Kevin, Kaylene, and Kara. 17 Great grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by: his wife Agnes,2 sons Gary Steele and Rex Steele, Parents, and sister Marjorie.
