William "Bill" Raymond Wheeler

William “Bill” Raymond Wheeler age 82 of Fremont, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Ottumwa Regional Hospital.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.   Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or Wounded Warriors and mailed to Donna Wheeler, P.O. Box 14, Freemont, Iowa 52561.

Bill was born December 17, 1939, in Muscatine, Iowa to Raymond and Emma (Carver) Wheeler.  He married Donna R. Marshall on August 19, 1964.  This year they celebrated 58 years of marriage.

Bill was a CPA and was part owner of Graf & Company. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Country Club, Chamber of Commerce and Chamber Ambassador.  Bill was also a member of the Presbyterian Church.  Some of his interests were fishing, golfing, bowling, collecting coins, watching western movies and doing family genealogy.  He was an Iowa Hawkeye, Chicago Cubs and St. Louis fan.   Most important was spending time with his family and friends.

He will be missed by his wife, Donna of Fremont; 4 children, Julie (Rick Middleswart) Wheeler of Tracy, Iowa, Susan (Thomas) Pickering of Phoenix, Arizona, Jeff and Mike Wheeler both of Freemont; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two sisters, Susan Fox and Kathy Jackson.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Emma.
