Wilma May Pittman

Wilma May Pittman, age 81, of Ottumwa Good Samaritan Health and Rehab Center , died January 2, 2007. She was born May 15, 1925 in Batavia, IA to Clair and Kathryn (Gantz) Robinson and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1944.

Wilma married Jewell Pittman in New Orleans, LA in 1961. He preceded her in death. She was a waitress in New Orleans and did home health care in Fairfield, IA. She was active in the American Red Cross.

Surviving are one daughter, Trish Geiger of Centerville, OH, and three granddaughters: Amber Dawn Grant, Holly Ann Grant, and Lindsay Kay Grant, all of Centerville, OH. Survivors include two cousins, Delores & Bill Jerome of Ft. Madison, IA and Patty & Wayne Wagner of Ottumwa, IA. Wilma has one greatgrandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister, Helen Pine of California.

Following her wishes, Wilma was cremated.

A memorial graveside service was held 11:00 AM, Friday, January 5, 2007 at Batavia Cemetery in Batavia, IA with Rev. Dave Peterson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the donor's Charity of Choice.
