Winnifred Patricia Joost

Winnifred P. Joost, age 91 of Fairfield, IA, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

Her body will be cremated. No services are planned at this time.

Winnifred Patricia Joost was born July 8, 1918 in Greene, IA to Fredrick and Maude (Roberts) Tyler. She was united in marriage with Delbert Joost in Chicago, IL on August 20, 1947. He preceded her in death December 14, 1991.

Mrs. Joost was employed by U.O.P. (Universal Oil Products) as a medical specialty secretary. She had previous residences in Arlington Heights, IL, Three Lakes, WI, Atlantic, IA, and prior to her residence in Fairfield, she lived in Sun City, AZ.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Joost and her husband Michael Borden of Fairfield, and one grandson Josh. Survivors include a brother, Dick Tyler and his wife Loyce Tyler of San Francisco, CA.

In addition to her husband, her parents preceded her in death.
